About

Built on the idea that people deserve a cleaning company they can trust.

Locally owned and operated, serving homes and businesses across South Vancouver Island.

Too many businesses and homeowners get inconsistent service and poor communication. That is the gap Swept Space was built to close. We show up when promised and hold ourselves accountable every visit, which sounds unremarkable until you have been let down by a cleaner and had to explain it to your own staff.

Swept Space carries $5 million in liability insurance, is fully bonded, and holds active WorkSafeBC coverage for every member of our team. Every crew member goes through a criminal record check before joining. Those are the things that matter when somebody has a key to your building, and we would rather lead with them than bury them.

Where Dan started

A College Pro franchise at eighteen, and a year learning somebody else's business.

Dan grew up in Tsawwassen, where a habit of competing came out of track and field and soccer. He founded his first venture, a College Pro Painters franchise, at eighteen and earned some of that organisation's highest honours over two years. He moved to Victoria in early 2017, spent a year managing an established cleaning company, and then started Swept Space. He still handles quoting and client quality assurance himself.

What we stand for

Four commitments, stated as things you can check.

Show up when promised

The complaint that ends most cleaning contracts is not a bad clean, it is a crew that did not arrive and nobody who called to say so.

Invest in training

Supervisors train the people assigned to a site rather than handing them a product list, and then audit the work afterwards.

Be accountable every visit

Work runs against a written checklist, and if something is missed we would rather hear about it inside 24 hours than find out at renewal.

Raise the standard

The aim is to be the leading cleaning company on Vancouver Island, which only happens by improving the systems behind the work.

The company's mission is simply to put customers first and leave clean, healthy spaces behind. Ambition beyond that is to be the leading cleaning company on Vancouver Island, which is a matter of doing the above consistently for a long time. The questions page covers the practical detail, and the coverage area page lists every community and the travel minimum that applies.
